About This 1931 Lincoln Model K Custom Berline

This particular car remains largely original, never restored and has been off the road for the last sixty five years.

This is a fantastic Custom bodied two-window Berline, by Judkins. 1931 was Lincoln's lowest production year with just over 3,000 cars sold in total. Most were factory bodied, but some extremely special bodies were special ordered and built by the custom coachbuilders of the day. The car offered is precisely one of these special bodied customs. All 1931 Lincoln's were high compression V-8 powered and all used the same 145" wheelbase chassis, very similar to the following year (1932) KB chassis.

This particular car remains largely original, never restored and has been off the road (last inspected - in Connecticut - 1951) for the last sixty five years. The overall appearance is quite respectable. It is very correct and it is very complete. It starts right up and seems to run okay, but it will require at minimum a major servicing and no doubt more before she should go out on the road. One horn is off the car, but we do have it and it is included in the sale. There are no signs of any rust and no signs of any significant prior accident damage. The paint may be original. The interior is definitely original and although it shows wear, it is quite serviceable. It has extremely handsome vee-windshield, short coupled/blind quarter coachwork of the highest quality. This is certainly an automobile that will look right at home parked next to a Duesenberg or whatever else great that may share the same space. Our research indicates that less then a dozen of these cars with this custom body still exist.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a high quality CCCA Classic that is worthy of preservation and could easily be easily be enjoyed in pretty much as is cosmetic order. It has never been apart and it has always been stored inside. For many years it sat in a museum on display.
